In 2024, InsideHook partnered with sports journalist Seth Davis to launch HoopsHQ, a subscription-based media platform covering all things men's and women's college basketball. Acclaimed NCAA media personalities Seth Davis and Andy Katz premiered , a talk show on Fubo Sports Network and YouTube covering college basketball hot takes, pre and post-game analysis, breaking news, and more.

Origins

InsideHook began in 2012 as a daily email lifestyle newsletter targeted at the "adventurous and discerning" man, based in New York City. Entrepreneur Andy Russell was inspired by a similar email newsletter, DailyCandy, whose target demographic was young women.

Russell gathered $22 million in funds to start Trigger Media Group and its first startup, InsideHook, launched in 2012. In 2013, actor Rob Lowe was the face of InsideHook L.A.'s curated email newsletter.

Critical reception

New York Daily News dubbed InsideHook, "A new free daily email service that provides "inspiration for driven men," adding, "Make no mistake about it, InsideHook knows what they’re talking about."
