Nagymaros (German:Großmarosch, Slovak:Veľká Maruša) is a town in Pest county, Hungary.
Etymology
The name comes from Maroš, the Slavic form of Marianus. Nagymaros—"Greater Maros" (Hungarian). The first written mention is Morus (1257).[citation needed]
