Eve Pancharoen (Thai: อีฟ ปานเจริญ; born 7 August 1981), known professionally as Palmy (Thai: ปาล์มมี่), is a Thai pop singer who has recorded and released several albums, including concert DVDs on the GMM Grammy label, beginning with her self-titled solo debut, Palmy, in 2001. She performed live with T-Bone and has appeared as a guest vocalist at other concerts and music festivals. She has performed in several Asian countries, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand, as well as performing at events in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Biography

Early years

Pancharoen was born in Bangkok on August 7, 1981 to a Thai mother and a Belgian father. After twelve years in Thailand, she moved to Sydney, Australia, where she attended Holy Cross College and studied music and art. During this period, she took vocal lessons at the Australian Institute of Music to improve her English and musical technique. Her performance as a solo singer for her high school graduation concert motivated her to pursue a professional career, leading to her return to Bangkok at age 18.[citation needed]

Return to Thailand

Palmy returned to Thailand around 1999-2000 to become a professional singer, and quickly signed a contract with GMM Grammy in 2000. In 2001 she released her debut album Palmy, which included the single "Yak Rong Dang Dang". She held her first concert organized by GMM Grammy on April 7, 2002.[citation needed]

Music career

Palmy has released three solo albums and performed internationally on several occasions, in countries including Japan, Korea, Singapore, England, and Australia. Palmy was the only Thai artist to perform at the 2003 MTV Asia Awards in Singapore. She has also held two large concerts in Japan: "Live in Japan" at Shibuya O-East, Tokyo, on June 10, 2004, and "Palmy Live in Tokyo Vol. 2" on November 13, 2006. She performed at the RHB Singapore Cup Final at Singapore National Stadium and, again in Singapore, she performed at Euphoria 2004 in the same event as Michael Learns to Rock and All-4-One. In addition, she was chosen as the only Thai artist to perform at Asia Song Festival in Olympic Park, Seoul, South Korea. In 2008, she held "Palmy Live Concert" in London at Indigo at The O2, and in 2007, she performed "Palmy's First Live at Sydney Concert" at the Metro Theatre.[citation needed]

She is known to perform and make public appearances barefoot, even hosting a barefoot-themed concert ("Palmy Barefoot Acoustic Concert").

Concerts

Palmy's Life Concert

Palmy's Life Concert was Palmy's debut concert, held on 7 April 2002 at the Thammasat University Auditorium, Tha Prachan campus. Following the success of several number-one singles on several music charts, tickets for the concert sold out within an hour of going on sale.

Stay with Me

After a 2-year pause, she came back and held her second concert at Impact Arena. Most songs played in this concert were from her second album.

Palmy in the Candle Light Concert

This concert took place at Vachirabenchatat Park (known as Rot fai Park) in May of the same year as the Stay with Me concert. She invited Pu Anchalee Jongkadeekij as a guest.

The Rhythm of the Times

This concert was held at the IMPACT Arena, a 11,000-seating capacity concert hall, located in Bangkok, Thailand on 5 August 2006. Special guests included T-Bone and Sena-Hoi.

Palmy Meets T-Bone in Flower Power Concert

Held at Moon Star Studio in Bangkok on 2–3 June 2007, the concert featured Palmy performing with T-Bone remixed versions of her popular songs. Palmy also delivered a performance with her cover of "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by John Denver. As a special guest, Peter Corp Dyrendal appeared to perform a song with T-Bone and Palmy.

Palmy Ka Ka Ka Concert

After being on break for 5 years, she returned with an album concert. She invited Erlend Øye (of Kings of Convenience, an indie folk-pop duo from Bergen, Norway), Hugo (ฮิวโก้ จุลจักร จักรพงษ์) and Sena Hoi (เสนาหอย เกียรติศักดิ์ อุดมนาค) as special guests. The concert took place at Impact Arena on 28-29 January 2012.

Palmy Barefoot Acoustic Councert

The concert was held at Bitec's Hall on Sept 21 and 22, 2013.

Palmy Universe Concert

The concert was held at Impact Arena on September 7, 8, 11, and 12, 2024.

PALMY Concert: ทำบุญหวังผล

The concert was held on May 3-4, 2025, at UOB Live, Emsphere, Bangkok.
