Terňa (Rusyn: Терня, Hungarian: Ternye) is a village in the Prešov District of the Prešov Region in eastern Slovakia.

History

The first reference to Terňa in historical literature appears in 1259 when Béla IV of Hungary donated Terňa to a Šariš royal named Therne.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 450 metres (1,480 ft) and covers an area of 29.42 km2 (11.36 sq mi) (2025).
