Water Ox (Chinese:癸丑;pinyin:guǐchǒu) is the 50th combination of the sexagenary cycle of the Chinese zodiac. It is preceded by Water Rat and followed by Wood Tiger. In the traditional correspondence of the Heavenly Stems with the Five Phases, guǐ (癸) represents yin and Water, while the Earthly Branch chǒu (丑) corresponds to the Ox zodiac.
